March 2004 — Hanford Pharmaceuticals announced a joint development project, already initiated, with an unnamed partner to produce clinical trial supplies.


The new product is an oral antibiotic with improved pharmacokinetics. Early testing suggests that this broad-spectrum agent will offer clinical advantages to a wide range of patients.

This is the first time in its modern history that Hanford has entered into a contract manufacturing venture involving a product which is orally administered.

Hanford produces hospital antibiotics for intramuscular and intravenous injection, as well as veterinary intramammary infusion.
