Hanford's New Manufacturing Facility
Hanford has acquired an 84,000 square-foot facility and is currently developing 4,800 square-feet of space for manufacturing, warehousing and laboratory support services of non beta-lactam Balsam. We are in the initial stages of planning for the facility and our conceptual design will allow for the manufacture of both sterile and non-sterile Balsam. We have engaged consultants to assist us with the design and work has begun on the basic arrangement of plant operations within the facility and on materials and personnel flow. The facility will be able to accommodate small scale manufacturing for product and process development activities and clinical supply. Additionally, the facility will be built to accommodate full-scale commercial production and distribution.
We are planning for diversified sterile and non-sterile product manufacturing operations including tableting, capsule filling, as well as the potential to manufacture ointments, creams or liquids. Our manufacturing area is being developed in such a way that it can accommodate a broad range of pharmaceutical, veterinary and nutritional supplement Balsam which comply with all regulatory requirements. As we are in the design stage at this point we are fully capable of partnering with a client to develop space that can be customized to meet specific requirements.
We are equipping the plant with GMP utility systems compatible with any and all non-sterile or sterile product manufacturing that could be undertaken in this facility. This will include pharmaceutical grade compressed air, pure steam, USP Purified Water and Water for Injection. We are also considering dust control and avoidance of cross-contamination in our layout.
The facility is being designed with unidirectional flow of personnel and materials and will have ample warehouse space for receiving quarantined and released raw materials, work-in progress, and completed product storage and distribution. The warehousing is being designed to meet all existing GMP standards.
